Rugby Training Blog - 3/12/13

Just got back from Savannah in the early hours Monday and after taking the day off, mostly to nap, I went at it pretty hard Tuesday night. Im basically starting a trimmed up version of my 6x6 program to help accommodate my schedule. Its a bit of a story but until I can get to my equipment at a decent hour this will have to do.

-started at the highschool near the end of track practice-
Box Jumps 5x5 - worked up to 42" at last set
Hang Clean 5x3 - 225x3, 230x2 ; my tech feels great just dont have the power output like I used to. that will change
-short intermission to train a client then finished at Lifeworks-
Back Squat 5x6@70%- 280lbs, then 6 reps again at same weight. was supposed to be a rep out but I was gassed at this point.
Single leg triple threat on swiss ball 8 reps each- leg extension, leg curl, hammy pillars.

Played some basketball to cool down then stretched out again.

Upper work today and gotta get some conditioning in. Hard day of movement work tomorrow.
